With it being Easter on Sunday, most people are showing off which Easter egg they’ve bought themselves on social media However, that’s not the only way you can celebrate the season, and if you’re an adult that likes a drink, there may be a far better option.
While eggs are great for the kids, why not opt for something a little more exciting this Easter by trying out a chocolate liqueur? I was lucky enough to recently be sent some Mozart Chocolate Liqueur in the Chocolate Cream and White Chocolate flavours to try out, and I have to tell you it’s an absolute game-changer.
I definitely get a sweet tooth, especially in the evening. However cracking in to an egg or a chocolate bar can often be quite heavy before going to bed. However, I used to liqueurs to make my own chocolate cocktails and I couldn’t get enough!
As well as being light and slipping down a treat, they also satisfied my chocolate cravings without resorting to eating a whole Easter egg.
Keeping things simple (and not having much alcohol in my cupboard), I opted to mix the chocolate liqueur just with some milk, then after mixing, I topped with whipped creams and chocolate shavings. I also drizzled over some more of the liqueur on top for good measure. However, it you want something a bit more professional, there are some chocolate liqueur recipes you can try below.
I have to admit, I preferred the Mozart Cream Chocolate Liqueur to the Mozart White Chocolate Liqueur, but that’s probably because I prefer milk chocolate in general and tend to find white chocolate too sweet.
I will definitely be buying the Mozart Cream Chocolate Liqueur in the future though and can’t wait to crack it out for the Easter cocktails with my friends.
The Mozart Chocolate Cream Liqueur’s retail from £14.25-£18.25 for a 500ml bottle. They can be purchased on Amazon.
