Sunday Brunch viewers were left scratching their heads as they tuned into this weekend’s episode. The Channel 4 show, hosted by Tim Lovejoy and Simon Rimmer, welcomes a variety of celebrity guests each week to be interviewed and sample Chef Simon’s culinary creations.
However, recently, fans have been puzzled over the choice of celebrity guests. This week was no different, with viewers voicing the same complaint just minutes into the programme.
The hosts were joined by producer and director Paul Feig, Tom Rosenthal from ITV’s Plebs, Lucinda Light from Married At First Sight Australia, and singers Fireball DML and Greentea Peng.
On social media platform X, previously known as Twitter, fans grumbled: “Struggled for guests this week #SundayBrunch,” while another wrote: “I’ve never heard of any of them#sundaybrunch.” A third queried: “WHO … ? #SundayBrunch,” reports the Express.
Two more users chimed in with: “#Sundaybrunch, I don’t know the other guests, lol,” and “#Sundaybrunch, not the best lineup of guests, IMO.”
Despite some social media users’ lack of enthusiasm about this week’s panel, others were thrilled to see Plebs star Tom Rosenthal and Married At First Sight Australia’s Lucinda Light on the show.
Fans loved the adorable exchange between Tom and Lucinda, who had attended one of her events before appearing on Sunday Brunch.
Plebs actor Tom, who embraced fatherhood just eight weeks ago, was over the moon that Lucinda agreed to join the panel as a guest. On air with hosts Tim and Simon, he couldn’t hide his admiration: “I am honestly a huge fan. There’s my wife, my baby, and then there’s Lucinda.”
During the conversation, he disclosed his attendance at one of her events, sharing his “wonderful” experience and singing the praises of the MAFS star, referring to her as “Mother Earth.”
Tom enthused: “She helped this one guy who was struggling to find romance. She’s like Mother Earth. At the event, there were talks, singing… this woman can sing and dance, and there was meditation. It was brilliant.”
Lucinda, in turn, expressed gratitude for Tom’s glowing words, saying, “That actually means a lot because my mother was at that event. ” To which he animatedly responded, “We know; we met her and spoke with her.”
Sunday Brunch airs each Sunday on Channel 4 from 10am.
