Presenter Stacey Solomon has given fans further insight into her garden at Pickle Cottage in posts this weekend. She’s also shared some of her plans for estate after visiting a flower market with one of her children earlier today.
Stacey, 35, has been known to take on gardening projects at her home in Essex. She has showcased the grounds of the property – which includes a tunnel featuring plant beds – in posts on Instagram over the years. She’s now shared some updates about the estate with her followers on the platform.
The Loose Women star shared in a post yesterday that her broad bean plant in the garden smells “so good”. Stacey said that she was doing her “evening water of all the plants” at the time and shared an update on a tree – in tribute to her late dog Theo – elsewhere in the garden shortly afterwards.
Alongside a photo of the blossom tree, Stacey – who announced that Theo had died back in 2021 – told fans that she and her other dog Peanut were particularly missing her. She wrote: “Theo’s tree is starting to blossom. We all miss you Theo. Especially me & peanut.”
Stacey later gave another glimpse at part of her garden in a video that showed her making duck egg mayonnaise. At one point, whilst she collected lemons from a greenhouse, some of the vast estate could be seen in the background.
She wrote in the caption of the video last night: “Pickle Cottage Mayo. Wanted to do this for ages. I did add mustard but forgot to record it & I need to get a better mixer but all in all I’m super pleased with how it turned out.”
More recently, Stacey shared further insight into her garden after revealing that she had been to the flower market with her daughter Belle, two. She shared footage of plants that she had picked up whilst out with the toddler today.
Showcasing them inside the gardening tunnel at her home, she told viewers: “This is my flower market haul. Here are my little mini trees. So these are all dwarf trees.” She said that they were apricot, peach and nectarine trees respectively.
She said: “I’m gonna repot them into bigger pots and then keep them in here. And yeah, grow loads of fruits.” Sharing her thoughts on the three plants in their pots, she added: “But how pretty are they even before the fruit comes?”
Stacey went on to show bougainvillea in pots that had been placed elsewhere in the tunnel. She said in the video that was uploaded to the platform earlier this afternoon: “How beautiful are these? These will grow really big hopefully.”
She said: “I’m gonna repot them into much bigger pots because in the winter you’d had to bring them inside so that they don’t get in the frost.” The Sort Your Life Out host added: “But hopefully they’ll grow all up the back wall.”
Stacey then told fans: “These are the things that you see like in Greece – the bougainvillea growing all up the buildings and stuff. I think it’s the prettiest thing ever.”
