-

Apple has introduced its newest lineup of iPhones. The company unveiled the iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Pro, iPhone 17 Pro Max, and iPhone Air during its annual showcase from its California headquarters on Tuesday, September 9.

Pre-orders for these models will start at 1pm on Friday, September 12, with availability beginning on Friday, September 19. Various retailers like Sky Mobile, EE, Mobiles.co.uk, Vodafone, and Three have confirmed they will carry the devices, although prices are yet to be disclosed.

Customers can choose to buy the phones outright from Apple and Amazon starting Friday, September 12. The standout addition to the iPhone range is the iPhone Air, touted as the thinnest iPhone to date. Apple has priced this model at £999 or £41.62 per month, with other retailers expected to reveal their prices soon.

The iPhone Air, weighing 165g and measuring a mere 5.1mm thick, marks Apple’s entry into the ‘Air’ range for smartphones. Crafted with a Grade 5 titanium frame made of 80% recycled titanium, the iPhone Air is described as both strong and elegant.

Featuring a 6.5″ Super Retina XDR display shielded by a durable Ceramic Shield, the iPhone Air is four times more crack-resistant and three times better at resisting scratches compared to the iPhone 16. It runs on the latest A19 Pro chip, claimed by Apple to be the fastest processor in any smartphone.

Buyers of the iPhone Air can enjoy a seven-day free trial of Apple TV+ to stream popular shows like Severance, Ted Lasso, and Slow Horses, with the option to cancel before the trial ends to avoid subscription charges.

The iPhone Air boasts an extended battery life, providing up to 27 hours of video playback on a single charge and quick charging capabilities. Equipped with a 48MP Fusion camera system and an 8MP Centre Stage front camera, the phone offers high-resolution imaging options for photography enthusiasts.

Shipping with iOS 26, the iPhone Air introduces features like liquid glass and a dynamic lock screen, along with AI capabilities for tasks like live translation and photo enhancement. Available in storage options of 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB, the iPhone Air comes in four stylish colors: Sky Blue, Cloud White, Light Gold, and Space Black.
