Katherine Ryan says she will STOP having filler as she admits ‘my lips are botched’

Must read

Katherine Ryan has vowed to have a lip lift as she turns her back on filler. The comedian has been open about her experience with cosmetic surgery and revealed she has “got lost in the game” of enhancements.

Katherine has recently been sharing her skin cancer story with her fans. Katherine has had stage two melanoma in the past, meaning she was able to recognise the signs in a mole way back in 2022.

On her podcast, she was joined by fellow comedian Joanne McNally as they discussed ageing and cosmetic surgery. Joanne explained she had “dabbled” in filler, but said she was left looking like a “melted baby”.

Joanne was the first guest on the podcast, What’s My Age Again?, where she discussed her own experiences of ageing and Botox. She said: “I was on TV before I realised you don’t go on TV without Botox. I get everything (Botox) and there’s nothing I don’t do. I think I definitely dabbled in a bit of filler before and then I had a photoshoot for a podcast I was doing back in the day.

“Bad work is like bad breath you don’t see it until you have it reflected to you and you’re like, ‘Oh I look like a melted baby.’ You tinker too hard, you’re like whoops.”

Katherine then revealed her own thoughts on it, sharing: “Yeah, you can get lost in the game. I think physical age like what we’re talking about, the Botox and filler, it has to go – it ages you even more.”

Later, Joanne went to compliment Katherine’s lip, but she quickly replied: “No! They’re botched. It’s been botched. First of all I need a lip lift,” as she opened up about her own experiences.

Back last year, Katherine opened up about the “dodgy” lip injections she had as a young woman.

“I had really dodgy lip injections when I was young. And that was because I didn’t have the information or funds to go to the right place. I heard about this amateur doing it in a basement for cash and thought, ‘I’ll just go do it now, and it’ll be fine. And if it doesn’t work out, it’ll just go away within a few months.’ That was when I was 21,” she said.

“It’s never gone away. I still have scar tissue. I don’t know what they injected in my lips. We think it was silicone, but we’ll never know. I’m lucky that it didn’t turn out worse. Finding the right cosmetic doctor is so important.”
