Oblivion Remastered reveal – when you can watch the announcement of gaming’s worst-kept secret

Must read

After weeks of leaks, Oblivion looks to finally be getting its reveal courtesy of Bethesda, and you can tune in live to see what’s in store for RPG fans.

Update: The showcase has now taken place, and it has made a major reveal – Oblivion Remastered is out now!

Original story: It’s almost time to become criminal scum all over again. After many claims crawled out of the woodwork, with leaks claiming an Oblivion Remaster would arrive imminently, the company that led its initial charge has finally revealed that the game is coming soon, with players expecting it to touch down on Xbox consoles as well as Xbox Game Pass.

The Elder Scrolls classic and fourth mainline title in the franchise that offered us Skyrim is finally getting official teases, and it looks as though Oblivion Remastered release date leaks had some level of legitimacy after all, as Bethesda has taken to Twitter to share a teaser image pointing towards some sort of reveal featuring the roman numeral for the number four – and we know what that means. The eye seen in the background all but confirms that Oblivion Remastered is indeed getting revealed very shortly, with a date issued for a major announcement.

But when exactly can we watch history unfold for Tamriel and its denizens? Here’s what you need to know about the incoming Oblivion Remastered reveal.

The Oblivion Remastered reveal is set to begin at 8am PDT / 11am EDT / 4pm BST on Tuesday, April 22. The reveal is scheduled on YouTube and Twitch with the headline “All will be revealed…”

Not much is known about the reveal itself, but as of right now, we can probably expect that the reveal won’t offer much more than a trailer. Even so, that demands this level of hype, especially as rumours initially indicated that the game would shadow drop.

If it did, and the game launched tonight, we’d be in for a real treat as Elder Scrolls fans flock to see the RPG classic, which is in dire need of a new lick of paint. The new era is about to arrive – and there’s every chance it could keep us comfy until The Elder Scrolls 6 arrives. And who knows when that’ll actually get here.
