Microsoft Identifies Jobs Most at Risk from AI

-

Microsoft has unveiled the industries most susceptible to potential takeover by Artificial Intelligence (AI).

Among these are interpreters, historians, sales representatives, and telemarketers. The comprehensive list is available below. Conversely, Microsoft has also disclosed the professions that are least threatened by AI.

Job roles least likely to be automated include rail-track laying and maintenance equipment operators, surgical assistants, massage therapists, and dishwashers. This revelation follows a recent incident where a woman nearly fell victim to a £1,600 scam, but was saved by a few critical words.

Kiran Tomlinson, a senior researcher at Microsoft, stated, “Our analysis delves into job categories that can effectively utilize AI chatbots. We have introduced an AI applicability score to gauge the alignment between AI capabilities and job functions, shedding light on areas where AI could alter work processes rather than replace jobs.”

He further added, “Our findings indicate that AI can assist in numerous tasks, particularly those involving research, writing, and communication, but it does not suggest complete replacement of any single occupation. As AI integration accelerates, it remains crucial to continue studying and comprehending its social and economic ramifications.”
