A Coronation Street star has turned to selling old clothes after their exit from the hit ITV soap. Charlotte Jordan, 29, revealed in January her time on the Corrie cobbles is coming to and end after taking on the role of Daisy Midgeley for the past four years.
Now, in a new move, Charlotte is “rehoming” some of her wardrobe for as little as £10. The actress has listed her items on popular site Vinted after revealing she was ready to “explore other opportunities”.
Taking to Instagram, the star shared a snap of her modelling some of the clothing. She wrote: “Happy rehoming! Good for the planet, good for the soul.My vinted wardrobe is live!”
Her listings on the site featured 15 items. Among them were a Marks and Spencer trench coat for £40 and a pair of Converse shoes for £20. There was also a sparkly bag for just £10, as well as a number of tops from Zara.
Most of her items have been quickly snapped up by users online, but it’s unknown if she will list further gear.
She recently opened up on her Coronation Street exit, in which she was left dehydrated after sobbing. It was reported a number of her co-stars were also weeping all day as she bid farewell to the role.
She revealed at the time: “I’m not a big crier. But let me tell you, I cried on and off for about four hours straight.
“My last scene was with the beautiful Rob Mallard, and we were meant to cry in the scene – but we were both dry as a bone.
“As soon as they yelled our final cut, we both burst into tears. Typical.” And she revealed her colleagues and co-stars also went out of their way to “make it so special” for her too.
She went on: “The Corrie gang made it so special for me. The canteen made me my favourite lunch – which made me cry. The art department drew me a beautiful card – which made me cry. I would look over to Channique [Sterling-Brown] or Julia [Goulding] or Sal [Sally Ann Matthews] during our last lunch break and see them crying – which made me cry. I think I was medically dehydrated by the end of the day.”
Her character Daisy will exit Weatherfield in scenes airing next week. She had previously told Mirror of her future plans, saying: “I’m feeling really grateful for my years on the show and the people I’ve gotten to work with.
“Kate [Brooks] has been so supportive about me wanting to go back out into the audition circuit and very generous with Daisy’s exit story, as she really wanted to do the character justice.”
