Chris Hughes has been slammed by Celebrity Big Brother fans for making a ‘creepy’ comment about JoJo Siwa. The unlikely friends have struck up a close friendship in the house, leaving some of their fellow celebrities doubting whether the pair are just playing a game.
In the latest episode of the show, the pals got tongues wagging again when Chris, 32, asked 21-year-old JoJo – who announced in last night’s show she no longer identified as a lesbian – to lick some chocolate off his shorts. Sitting on the sofa, noticing the small stain, Chris said: “Oh, right, lick that off please. That has got to come off.” The former Love Islander then lifted his shorts toward JoJo’s face as he told her: “Start there. Imagine that wasn’t chocolate. Lick it you freak!”
JoJo replied: “I have to bite it off,” before using her teeth to remove the chocolate. She branded the act a ‘pretty good job on her behalf’.
Taking to X, airing their distaste over the incident, one viewer fumed: “I’m sorry if you’re saving Chris, you’re a weirdo just like him. Why the hell is he getting JoJo to lick stuff off his shorts ?! And she’s complying ? This is WEIRDO BEHAVIOUR!!
Another said: “Oh Big Brother.. you are wrong for those angles of JoJo and Chris when JoJo was licking chocolate off his shorts???”
Meanwhile a third posted: “Eww Chris is such a creep making JoJo lick his shorts. He knew what he was doing” as a fourth said: “Chris making JoJo lick his shorts like that feels very uncomfortable and non-innocent and I do not like it.”
The comments come after JoJo, who is in a relationship with actor, Kath Ebbs, revealed she no longer identifies as a lesbian during a candid chat on the show on Tuesday.
The former self-confessed ‘Gay CEO of pop’ confided in Drag Race star, Danny Beard, about her sexuality in a shock admission following her flirty friendship in the house with Chris.
After previously telling her housemates: “I like girls”, prompting a vile homophobic response from now axed contestant, Mickey Rourke, JoJo told Danny: “I feel so queer. I’ve never – I think I’ve always told myself, I’m a lesbian. I think you – I think being here – I’ve realised I am not a lesbian, I’m queer.”
Chris and JoJo have raised eyebrows with their unlikely friendship, with some of their housemates accusing them of playing up to the cameras.
When Olympian Daley Thompson was evicted he suggested they knew that by ‘pairing up’ they would ‘get more airtime’. Agreeing with the now axed contestant, Ella Rae Wise, accused Chris of forming a friendship with mega star, JoJo, to further his own career.
She said the Dance Moms star’s 80 million plus social media following would “massively help” the Love Islander, however Chris slammed the suggestion, adding it was really sad” that he couldn’t be friends with who he wanted in the house.
