Dunelm shoppers are heaping praise on a “beautiful” footstool they’ve been snapping up online. The retailer is well known for it’s fashionable homeware collections – and a new favourite may have arrived.
The Murray Sherpa Storage Footstool is priced at £59 online and comes in a range of colourways; ivory, cobalt, black, terracotta, magenta and olive. The modern footstool features a large storage inside and soft sherpa upholstery all-over.
Dunelm’s product description reads: “Upholstered in luxurious sherpa fabric, this footstool offers a plush and comfortable seating experience. Its compact design makes it perfect for smaller spaces, while the built-in storage compartment provides a convenient solution for keeping your living area tidy and organised.

“Whether used as a footrest, extra seating, or as a handy storage solution for blankets or magazines, this footstool is sure to enhance the functionality of your home.
The footstool has garnered an overall rating of 4.9 online, having racked up rave reviews. Among them, one person said: “Great stool, I use as a dressing table stool. Comfortable, stylish and practical.”
A second wrote: “I love this stool well made and sturdy with an added bonus of storage, the shade is green is lush.” A third added: “This stool is a perfect addition to the bedroom/dressing room. It’s light, has handy internal storage and looks great.”
Another shopper said: “Loving the cream Sherpa looks amazing in room. Excellent. Really good quality with secret storage. Good value.”
A fifth wrote: “Beautiful product. Highly recommend! Great product, lovely material and great storage space inside. Really comfy to sit on as well.”
A different shopper said: “Lovely quality, feels nice and sturdy. Loads of discrete storage space. Will definitely get more of these in other colours.” A second wrote: “Perfect size, lots of storage. Lovely colour and fabric. Very happy with my purchase.”
Another added: “So sturdy and beautiful- I bought two and it fits perfectly in my hallway.”
However, some shoppers were not quite so impressed. One person said: “Good size stool, lots of storage inside but a bit wobbly on the carpet as it has small feet.”
Another added: “Very pretty, good space inside, would have got 5 stars but a but of a safety issue, if you pick it up by the the lid, lid comes off and the bottom fell on my toe, it damaged my toe a bit. Pick it up by the sides, not the lid.”
