Actress Patricia Crowley has passed away at the age of 91, as confirmed by her son Jon Hookstratten, an executive at Sony Pictures Entertainment. The beloved Dynasty star died from natural causes in Los Angeles on Sunday. She is survived by her husband, Andy Friendly, whom she wed in 1986.

Prior to marrying Andy, Patricia was married to Ed Hookstratten, a prominent sports and entertainment attorney who represented renowned figures such as Elvis Presley, Johnny Carson, and Vin Scully. Patricia gained recognition for her portrayal of Joan Nash in the 1960s NBC comedy series Please Don’t Eat The Daisies, where she played a newspaper writer and a mother of four energetic boys.

Famous for her roles in Dynasty, Forever Female, and Money From Home, Patricia’s acting career also included playing Sally Carver in Forever Female alongside Ginger Rogers and William Holden. Her performances in Forever Female and Money from Home earned her the Golden Globe Award for New Star of the Year – Actress.

Throughout her career, Patricia appeared in various films and TV shows, such as Red Garters, There’s Always Tomorrow, and The Wheeler Dealers. She showcased her versatile talents by singing and dancing on The Dean Martin Show and making guest appearances on popular shows like Charlie’s Angels, Hawaii 5-0, and Murder, She Wrote.

In 1986, she played Emily Fallmont in ten episodes of Dynasty. Later in the 2000s, Patricia made appearances in The Bold and the Beautiful, The Closer, and Cold Case, with her final film role in Mont Reve in 2012.

Born in 1933 in Olyphant, Pennsylvania, to a coal miner father, Patricia pursued her passion for acting by moving to New York City with her sister, who secured a role in the chorus of Oklahoma! on Broadway. She attended the High School of Performing Arts and made her Broadway debut in 1950 as the lead in the comedy Southern Exposure during her senior year of high school.

Patricia is survived by her husband, son Jon, daughter Ann, son-in-law Robert, daughter-in-law Marion, five grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
