Tasha Ghouri has opened up in a heartfelt Instagram post just months after her split from fellow Love Island star Andrew Le Page. The 26-year-old Strictly Come Dancing contestant took to Instagram with a makeup-free selfie to reveal that she was enjoying some quiet time without her hearing aid.
She began her post by saying: “Hey everyone, a lil bit of reality away from my glam self at the moment! Right now as I’m typing this my cochlear implant is out and I’m enjoying the pure silence.” Tasha went on to describe the mental toll that lip reading or focusing on hearing people takes on her.
The model explained: “I’m exhausted by the end of the day. I’ve learned that’s also okay, it’s okay to feel down and have times like this to yourself to recharge.”
She also admitted she sometimes feels guilty for being overwhelmed, sharing: “Sometimes I feel like I’m not doing enough? Sometimes I forget I’m only just a 26-year-old girl trying to figure out her life along the way!”
Tasha’s words struck a chord with fans, who flocked to share their sympathies with her. One person encouraged her, saying: “It is ok to take time for yourself honey. You are so busy and always in the public eye so you deserve time. So no make up and sweat pants on and rest!”
Another added: “Felt this. The guilt I feel for just taking a rest!! Thank you for sharing this because you’re definitely not alone.” Tasha’s post comes during a time of transition for the TV personality.
Tasha recently confirmed she was the one to end her relationship with Andrew after over two years together. The couple originally met on the 2022 season of Love Island and went on to build a life together; adopting a dog named Luna, and starting a big home renovation project.
While they’ve kept the details of their breakup mostly private, Tasha has been vocal in shutting down online speculation that she is moving on too quickly. After fans questioned why she was using celebrity dating app Raya so soon after their split, she told them: “No, I ended the relationship. There was many things behind closed doors.”
Despite their split, the pair appear to be on good terms, and are currently sharing custody of their dog Luna. Tasha received backlash from followers who thought she was depriving Andrew of time with the pup, and responded to the criticism saying: “He gave her to me cause he’s in Guernsey and we’re sharing her. We’re both still on good terms.”
In March Tasha went on a solo holiday to Dubai to take some time away from her busy life to regroup and adjust to being single again. A source close to the reality star spoke about how much the trip helped her to reset, saying: “It’s just what she needed. It’s recharging her batteries, helping heal the heartbreak, and bringing back her confidence after the split.
“It’s not been an easy time with the break-up and the Strictly tour all coming at once. As much as she loved Strictly, she’s glad it’s all over and the pressure is off.”
