Accused “Queen of Canada” Followers Face Charges

-

Three additional individuals have been accused following the recent RCMP operation at the residence where the self-proclaimed “Queen of Canada” resided. The trio, aged 37, 63, and 72, are facing charges of obstructing a peace officer for refusing to provide their identification details to arresting officers, as stated in an RCMP press release issued on Wednesday. They are set to appear in court in Leader, Sask., on Nov. 20.

Romana Didulo, the leader of the group referred to by her adherents as the “Kingdom of Canada,” is due for another court appearance in Swift Current this Wednesday afternoon. She faces charges of breaching an undertaking and intimidating a justice system participant. Following a bail hearing last week, Didulo was released under the condition that she remains in Regina until her trial.

The group associated with Didulo had taken up residence in a former school in Richmound, Sask., for approximately two years until the RCMP’s intervention on Sept. 3. Richmound is situated about 365 kilometers west of Regina. The self-described Queen of Canada is presently under house arrest in Regina, having been removed from the school compound by law enforcement. The situation continues to draw attention from locals and experts alike, with uncertainty lingering over the resolution of this ongoing saga.
