A popular social media influencer passed away shortly after her recent wedding celebration. Adna Rovčanin-Omerbegović, 26, unexpectedly became unwell during her reception on September 13 and was swiftly taken to the hospital. Tragically, she slipped into a coma and passed away two days later on September 15.
Aside from her online content creation work, she also owned a salon in Sarajevo, the capital of Bosnia. Fans have been expressing their sorrow over her untimely death, with one saying, “Yesterday you were among us, today we send you off. Rest in peace, dear Adna.”
“It is heartbreaking to see young lives cut short like this,” another mourner added, while a third person remarked, “You will always hold a special place in our hearts.”
Adna is survived by her husband, four sisters, and her parents. The exact cause of her death remains unknown, and an autopsy is currently being conducted to determine the reason behind her sudden deterioration.
The couple exchanged vows at the Hollywood Hotel in Sarajevo, and Adna’s funeral took place on September 17, where prayers were offered at the Mosque of Kobilja Glava. During her wake, hundreds of mourners gathered to pay their respects, as reported by local media outlet Crnu-Hronik.
A close friend shared, “Adna was known for her altruistic nature. She devoted her professional life to serving at the Old City Health Center as a nurse, and makeup artistry was her passion project.”
Although Adna’s social media accounts were deactivated following her passing, her wedding photographer paid tribute to her on Instagram Stories, describing her smile as the most captivating in Bosnia. The photographer had previously shared images of Adna and her husband, Faris, in anticipation of their wedding day.
