A Dubai businessman known as the “Porta-Potty King” is under police custody for his alleged involvement in a human trafficking ring exploiting vulnerable women. Charles Mwesigwa, who states he was a former London bus driver, is accused of orchestrating a sex trafficking scheme within Dubai’s affluent neighborhood.
While the specific charges against Mr. Mwesigwa in the UAE remain undisclosed, a Dubai law firm confirmed that the suspect is being held at the Central Prison Centre in Al Awir, Dubai. These illicit gatherings, reportedly hosted by affluent individuals, lure young models and influencers with the promise of substantial cash rewards, extravagant gifts, and accommodations in luxury hotels.
The trending hashtag #Dubaiportapotty, with over 450 million views on TikTok, sheds light on how some influencers are financing their lifestyles by fulfilling extreme sexual demands. In an undercover interaction, Mr. Mwesigwa claimed he could provide women for sex parties at a cost of £750, asserting that they are willing to comply with clients’ desires.
Several women, who believed they were traveling to the UAE for employment in hotels or supermarkets, were shocked when asked to engage in unwanted activities. Tragically, two women associated with Mr. Mwesigwa died after falling from high-rise buildings, deemed as suicides, yet their families urge further police scrutiny.
One victim, misled into thinking she was relocating from Uganda for a supermarket job, found herself residing in a flat with numerous women working under Mr. Mwesigwa. Describing the environment as unsettling, Mia, Risa, Monic’s sister, recounted how her sister was disappointed with the situation she encountered.
Allegations of violence and extortion surfaced, with one woman stating Mr. Mwesigwa demanded a significant sum from her upon arrival, leading to escalated debts. Despite denying the accusations, Mr. Mwesigwa claims to assist women in finding housing and asserts that they willingly attend his gatherings due to his influential connections.
