“Woman Confesses to Poisoning 10 Dogs, Killing Man with Toxic Stew”

-

A woman has confessed to the killing of 10 dogs by using a poison she was experimenting with, following allegations of murdering an elderly man with a toxic bean stew.

Authorities have labeled Ana Paula Veloso as a “psychopath” and a “serial killer” after being accused of poisoning pensioner Neil Correa da Silva in Baixada Fluminense, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, through a toxic bean stew. It is suspected that Veloso collaborated with the victim’s daughter, Michele Paiva da Silva, who reportedly funded her travel from Guarulhos to Rio to assist in the crime.

Both Veloso and Paiva da Silva are currently in police custody and are associated with three additional murders. Police Chief Halisson mentioned, “She admitted to killing 10 dogs using this poison, testing the method and effects. She was well aware of the timing, dosage, and consequences of the substance she provided.” This revelation came after the discovery of terbufos, a pesticide slightly less potent than lead, at Veloso’s residence.

The investigation also led authorities in Sao Paulo to question Veloso’s twin sister, Roberta, for her alleged involvement in Neil’s death by providing support in various forms. The victim’s daughter, Michele Paiva da Silva, a 42-year-old law student, was apprehended outside Engenho Novo University in Rio. Neil, aged 65, passed away at Adao Pereira Nunes Municipal Hospital on April 26, with his body being exhumed for forensic analysis to determine poisoning.

Allegations suggest a strained relationship between the father and daughter, while Ana and Michele, described as friends, were present in the house when Neil fell ill and was subsequently hospitalized. Text messages exchanged between them discussing poisoning the victim have been recovered.

Furthermore, the authorities are connecting the pensioner’s death to three other poisoning incidents in Guarulhos, believed to have been orchestrated by Veloso and Paiva da Silva. Chief Halisson claimed, “Ana Paula poisoned four individuals, including Neil, at Michele’s behest.”

Halisson mentioned that Veloso came under scrutiny by the police after claiming to be a victim of an attempted cake poisoning, which investigators believe was an attempt to frame someone else. He stated, “Ana Paula Veloso visited our police station regarding an alleged poisoned cake incident at a college. She planted the cake to incriminate a third party. Through our investigation, it was deduced that Ana Paula was not a victim but a serial killer.”
