The 39-year-old actress, known for her role in the 2009 vampire-themed horror film, joined director Karyn Kusama at the Academy Museum screening and Q&A event on October 25. They revisited the cult classic and discussed the potential for a sequel, with the original writer Diablo Cody reportedly working on a sequel script.
Megan hinted at a possible TV series spin-off in 2021. The original film also featured stars like Adam Brody, Chris Pratt, Amanda Seyfried, and JK Simmons.
In “Jennifer’s Body,” Megan portrayed Jennifer Check, a high school student transformed into a demon succubus who preys on boys at her school. Her friend Needy Lesnicki is tasked with stopping her murderous rampage.
Megan’s former partner, MGK (formerly Machine Gun Kelly), recently addressed their breakup in his new song “Treading Water” from the album Lost Americana. The track alludes to their relationship struggles and hints at reconciliation for the sake of their daughter.
In another song on the album, “Orpheus,” co-written by Megan, MGK reflects on their past love and the challenges they faced. The lyrics reference Greek mythology and the hope for a reunion despite the obstacles.
