“Met Police Probes Prince Andrew’s Alleged Misconduct”

-

The Metropolitan Police is currently investigating fresh allegations concerning Prince Andrew, following the release of a damning email suggesting that the former duke tried to discredit his accuser, Virginia Giuffre.

Prince Andrew has consistently denied claims of engaging in sexual activities with Virginia Giuffre when she was 17, who recently passed away, as well as refuting any wrongdoing. Despite his denials, his association with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein continues to tarnish his reputation within the Royal Family.

Having withdrawn from public duties five years ago, the 65-year-old prince has now voluntarily renounced his titles and honors, with the approval of his elder brother, King Charles III. In a statement issued by Buckingham Palace, Prince Andrew announced his decision to forgo his titles “in order to prioritize my responsibilities to my family and the nation.”

Recent revelations of alleged misconduct have surfaced, making it challenging for the Royal Family to ignore the ongoing concerns surrounding Prince Andrew.

According to the Mail on Sunday, it is reported that Prince Andrew requested his Met bodyguard, funded by taxpayers, to investigate Virginia Giuffre, providing her personal details in an attempt to gather negative information. However, there is no evidence that the officer complied with this request.

The Metropolitan Police confirmed that they are actively investigating these claims, while Virginia’s family, who confirmed her clean record, condemned the actions as an attempt to discredit survivors. They are now calling for an investigation into how Prince Andrew obtained this private information.

In an update from the Metropolitan Police, Victoria Derbyshire interrupted Sunday with Laura Kuenssberg to announce the investigation into Prince Andrew’s alleged involvement in seeking damaging information on Virginia Giuffre. Emily Maitlis, the broadcaster whose BBC Newsnight interview with Prince Andrew in 2019 contributed to his downfall, expressed her approval of the police’s actions.
