A new channel has recently debuted on Freeview, bringing additional entertainment options to households that rely on this service. Formerly exclusive to premium TV providers like Sky and Virgin Media, TLC now joins the Freeview lineup, offering a mix of reality shows, comedy, and movies.
TLC, renowned for popular programs such as Dr Pimple Popper and Say Yes To The Dress, is broadening its content library to include sitcoms and blockbuster films. This update grants Freeview viewers access to hit shows like The Big Bang Theory, Mock the Week, and Young Sheldon, along with movie favorites like Transformers and Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen.
To tune in to TLC on channel 12, some users may need to perform a quick retune. Freeview has announced channel adjustments, with Quest moving to Ch17 and Really shifting to Ch44 to accommodate TLC. However, not all changes are positive, as HGTV is set to shut down, including beloved programs like My Lottery Dream Home and Celebrity IOU.
In addition to TLC, Freeview users can expect a reshuffling of channels, with the introduction of TLC+1 on Ch99. The update also includes the closure of HGTV, God TV, and India Today. To ensure uninterrupted viewing, users are advised to retune their TVs as part of the channel realignment.
