“Harry Kane Seals England’s Perfect World Cup Qualifying Run”

-

England concluded their flawless World Cup qualifying run with a hard-earned 2-0 victory against Albania. Harry Kane netted two goals in the second half as the Three Lions secured their eighth win in eight matches.

Manager Thomas Tuchel made several changes to the lineup in Tirana, with seven alterations from the previous game against Serbia. One notable change was starting Jude Bellingham over Morgan Rogers.

Albania, still in contention for the play-offs, posed a tough challenge in the early stages, forcing England’s first significant opportunity after more than 30 minutes when Jarrod Bowen’s shot was cleared for a corner.

Despite not conceding in their first seven matches, England faced some threats from Albania, with goalkeeper Dean Henderson making two crucial saves.

With less than 20 minutes remaining and Albania gaining confidence, Harry Kane capitalized on a Bukayo Saka corner to score the opening goal. Kane then secured the victory with a second header, marking his 78th goal for the national team.

England heads to the World Cup with a perfect qualifying record of eight wins and eight clean sheets.
