“New Brunswick Artist Gains Global Fame with Live Sports Painting”

-

A talented artist from New Brunswick has achieved global recognition through her live sports painting. Bronwyn Celeste has showcased her artistry at various sports venues in Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom, and beyond.

Live sports painting involves capturing a moment of the game as it unfolds, starting at the beginning of the match and finishing at its conclusion. Celeste described the experience as both challenging and exhilarating, providing a rush of adrenaline.

The concept of live sports painting dates back to ancient civilizations such as Egypt and Greece, as noted by the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Encouraged by her high school teachers in Fredericton, Celeste embarked on this dynamic form of art during her youth, starting with live painting sessions at local events.

Despite feeling torn between her love for sports and art in her upbringing, Celeste ultimately merged her passions into a successful career. She aims to introduce fine art to a broader audience while also redesigning logos for popular sports franchises.

Celeste’s artwork has garnered attention from renowned sports organizations, including the Buffalo Bills of the National Football League, who admired her depiction of the team. Her paintings have been displayed in prestigious venues, such as the Buffalo Bills’ head office.

In addition to collaborating with professional sports teams like the Chicago Bulls and hockey clubs in various regions, Celeste remains connected to her local community. She values the opportunity to showcase local talent and sports achievements through her art.

One of her notable live paintings, “The Three Defensemen,” was created during a University of New Brunswick Reds men’s hockey game, earning praise from team members and highlighting the fusion of sports and art in a unique way.
