Andre Agassi, the renowned tennis figure, marked his 24th wedding anniversary with fellow tennis legend Steffi Graf by sharing a nostalgic photo on social media. The picture captured the pair holding their Wimbledon trophies from 1992, nearly a decade before they exchanged vows.
In the snapshot, Agassi sported his former distinctive long blonde hair, a stark contrast to his current shaved head appearance. Clad in a stylish tuxedo and a dangling earring, Agassi exuded his classic fashion sense. On the other hand, Graf, now 56, donned an elegant ball gown paired with pearls, radiating sophistication.
Alongside the iconic image, Agassi posted a recent photo of the couple beaming at the camera, expressing his love for Graf with a heartfelt message. Despite their shared Wimbledon triumph in 1992, Agassi briefly married actress Brooke Shields from 1997 to 1999, while Graf had a relationship with racing driver Michael Bartels during that time.
Following Agassi’s separation from Shields, his romance with Graf blossomed in 1999. Agassi revealed in his 2009 memoir, “Open,” that he had admired Graf from afar since their initial meeting on French TV. The couple, known for their privacy, opted for an intimate wedding ceremony in 2001 with only four attendees.
The couple welcomed their son Jaden Gil and daughter Jaz Elle in the following years, choosing to lead a quiet family life away from the tennis spotlight. Agassi, a tennis great with 60 ATP Tour singles titles and eight Grand Slam victories, retired in 2006 after a successful career. Graf, a German tennis icon, claimed 22 major women’s singles titles before retiring in 1999 at the age of 30.
