Apple’s popular MacBook laptops, iPad tablets, and iconic iPhones are well-known, but its services are also gaining significant traction. The technology giant recently reported a ‘record-breaking’ year, as users increasingly engaged with its audio, TV streaming, and news platforms.
Apple Music, now accessible on both iOS and Android devices, had its most successful year in 2025, setting new records for listenership and new subscriptions. The service introduced several updates last year, including features like Lyrics Translation and AutoMix, offering a personalized DJ experience.
In addition to the music boost, Apple TV’s viewership surged, with December statistics indicating a 36% increase in time spent watching popular series such as Slow Horses and The Studio compared to the previous year. Apple TV expanded its content library with new shows and movies, including a Brad Pitt F1 film and the highly-rated drama Pluribus.
The App Store also experienced a strong year, boasting over 850 million average weekly users worldwide. During the holiday season between Christmas Eve and New Year’s Day, the App Store saw a record number of visitors and record-breaking customer spending on digital products and services.
Apple Podcasts also thrived, achieving record listenership, plays, and subscriber numbers in 2025.
Further enhancements in Apple’s services include the significant expansion of Apple Fitness+ availability in more regions and the introduction of over 50 new games to Apple Arcade.
Moreover, Apple extended its Share Item Location feature in Find My to 27 additional airlines, aiming to reduce lost luggage incidents significantly. Apple Maps also expanded its Detailed City Experience to new locations like New Orleans, Singapore, and Monaco, featuring 3D landmarks, including a custom F1 Monaco Grand Prix experience.
Eddy Cue, Apple’s senior vice president of Services, commented on the successful year, stating, “2025 was a record-breaking year for Apple services, marked by remarkable growth, global expansion, and continuous innovation. From Apple TV, Apple Music, and Apple News to essential services like Apple Pay and iCloud, we provided enriching experiences to users globally. The enthusiastic engagement of our customers in 2025 showcases their excitement for downloading new apps, watching the latest shows, listening to favorite music, and shopping securely.”
