Bernie Ecclestone Sells Yacht Named After Daughters

-

Bernie Ecclestone recently sold a yacht named after his daughters, Petra and Tamara, following his wife Fabiana’s revelation that they only utilized it for eight days annually. Additionally, another smaller yacht owned by the Formula 1 tycoon, anchored in Ibiza, is now on the market, contrasting with the one in Croatia named “Petara.”

During an interview marking his 95th birthday on Tuesday, October 28, Ecclestone confirmed the yacht sale, stating, “We just sold it.” Fabiana elaborated, stating, “We only used it for eight days a year. We don’t require such a large yacht for that purpose.”

Earlier this year, Ecclestone also parted ways with his collection of F1 cars, selling them to Red Bull co-owner Mark Mateschitz for approximately £550 million. This transaction occurred 18 months after settling with HMRC for over £500 million due to an undeclared £400 million in overseas assets.

Despite these sales, Ecclestone and his family still possess a net worth exceeding £1.8 billion, as per Forbes. Alongside his third wife Fabiana and their five-year-old son Ace, Ecclestone resides in the scenic town of Gstaad in the Swiss Alps.

Regarding his birthday celebrations, Ecclestone mentioned, “My daughters wanted a big party, but I prefer to fly with Fabi and Ace to my ranch in Brazil.” He also shared that his eldest daughter, Deborah, visited him in Gstaad before his birthday, noting her recent 70th birthday.

Fabiana reflected on their relationship, stating, “We’ve been married for 13 years now, together for 16.” She expressed satisfaction with their co-parenting of Ace, emphasizing their collaborative approach. Ecclestone described their teamwork in raising Ace and highlighted his son’s positive attributes, foreseeing a bright future for him.

Fabiana added, “He was already skiing at the age of two. Many children his age have food preferences, but Ace enjoys all types of food, with sushi being his favorite.”
