Big Brother couple announce shock split after falling in love in the house

Must read

A Big Brother couple have revealed they are going their separate ways, just days after they were back in the ITV house. Henry Southan and Jordan Sangha have shocked fans with their surprise split announcement after meeting in 2023.

They won fans over with their romance sparking on screen in the iconic house during the first civilian reboot and were together ever since. Henry and Jordan returned to Big Brother just last week as a couple to give their thoughts on the drama on the current series of Celebrity Big Brother.

The pair headed back into the hot tub where it all began as they chatted to host Will Best. However, just days later Henry took to Instagram to share the shock announcement.

He said: “After a lot of thought, Jordan and I have decided to go our separate ways.

“It’s incredible sad, and we’re both hurting, but we know it’s the right step. We’re so grateful for the love and support you’ve shown us – thank you.”

Henry added: “Please give us some space as we figure things out privately.”

Jordan also shared his own statement as he sadly wrote: “An unfortunate announcement. After many times, memories, and precious experience, Henry and I have parted ways.

“I want to than everyone who has supported us. We will always remain close friends. Cheers x.”

The pair met on the revived series of Big Brother on ITV in 2023 where they initially struck up a friendship. As the days went by, they got closer and closer.

After leaving the show with Jordan crowned winner, the couple moved in with each other. Jordan, who worked as a lawyer before going on the reality TV show, hit back at showmance claims following their exit from the house.

Speaking to The Sun, Jordan – who secured the £100,000 prize – said: “We’re very much in love. I mean I wish it was a showmance, but it’s not.”

Both Jordan and Henry revealed they hadn’t been in a relationship before so were “navigating it”. Jordan also shared an adorable snap of him hugging Henry as he gushed over him.

He wrote: “This caption is intentionally cringeworthy, so beware: I met someone in October under unusual circumstances. He’s a bit of a git whereas I’m a bit of a prick[ly person at select times].

“However, from a pseudo-eviction to a necklace, I realised that I had actually found a handsome, intelligent, and debonair fellow. I’m not a soppy b*****d but HRH Sourdough’s re-taught me the importance of smiling. And so I’m cooking dinner for him tomorrow (I don’t cook and he’s a bloody food critic).”

Henry declared they were Instagram official after leaving the house as he shared a snap of the pair on a night out. In the caption, he wrote: “wtf guys I think I found a boyfriend on national television.”

Jordan even admitted he was embarrassed to have ever described their bond as “platonic” while on the show. Speaking to OK!, he said: “I look back on the show with embarrassment. Every time I say that platonic thing, I shiver,” before Henry cut in, saying: “Think about how I feel!”

Jordan admitted: “All that platonic stuff – it’s pitiful, isn’t it? We have moved far, far beyond that. We’ve leapt forward. We do use the boyfriend title now.”
