Billy Ray Cyrus’ ex, Tish Cyrus, was reportedly suspicious about actress, Liz Hurley, years before she popped up on Instagram with the Achy Breaky Heart star, sharing a passionate kiss. Liz and Billy Ray left fans gobsmacked over the weekend when they posted a loved-up photo together on Easter Sunday with a red heart emoji.
Tish, 57, who is yet to comment on the shock romance, divorced Billy Ray, 63, in 2022 – the same year he met Liz, 59, on the set of their Christmas flick, Christmas In Paradise. It’s now been claimed that the mum-of-five, who shares three kids with the country star, suspected her husband was cheating on her with the Austin Powers bombshell – even though he denied it.
Speaking to the Daily Mail, an insider claimed that while Billy Ray’s new relationship with Liz is a ‘slap in the face’ for Tish, she was likely right about her suspicions.
They said: “Billy Ray met Elizabeth in 2022 on the set of their Christmas film, which they both starred in. Tish had her thoughts and suspicions at the time that he was cheating on her with Liz, but Billy Ray flat out denied it.”
“They got very close on the set and seeing that they are together now is a slap in the face for Tish, but it also confirms that she was likely right about her suspicions. They never stopped being in contact.”
The unlikely couple sent the showbiz world into meltdown on Sunday when model, Liz, shared a snap of them kissing on Instagram – tagged with a love heart.
Famous friends and fans of the pair quickly rushed to the comments section to congratulate Liz and Billy Ray on their romance. Unsurprisingly, Tish was not among them – but she has taken to social media since the sizzling snap was posted.
Taking to her Instagram page, she simply shared a clip – strewn with love hearts – of the daughter she shares with Billy Ray, Noah, out in a sun-soaked garden, holding an Easter egg.
Tish and Billy Ray officially divorced in April 2022 and share daughters Miley, 32, and Noah, 25, and son Braison, 30. Billy Ray also adopted Tish’s daughter Brandi, 37, and son Trace, 36, from her previous marriage.
Tish is now married to Prison Break star, actor Dominic Purcell – who briefly dated Noah – in an ceremony in Malibu in August 2023 with Flowers superstar, Miley, as her maid of honour.
Billy’s kids are yet to comment on his new relationship with Liz. However, the actress’ son Damian has.
He appears to have given his seal of approval to the union as he replied to the snap of his mum and her new man with a celebration and a heart emoji.
Liz’s other famous followers have also congratulated the actress, with many gushing how happy they were for the former girlfriend of Hugh Grant to have found love again.
