Vladimir Guerrero Jr. led the Toronto Blue Jays in a dominant performance at Coors Field, securing a 20-1 victory over the Colorado Rockies with four hits, including a home run, while Davis Schneider contributed two homers. The Blue Jays, currently leading the AL East, set a major league record with 63 hits and a franchise record of 45 runs in the three-game series, powered by a total of five home runs and 24 hits in the final game.

Bo Bichette, Ernie Clement, and others also contributed to the Blue Jays’ offensive prowess, with Bichette and Schneider each tallying four RBIs. Guerrero extended his on-base streak to 23 games, the longest in the American League. The Blue Jays outscored the Rockies 45-6 in the series and have been performing exceptionally well, boasting a 26-11 record since June 25.

Toronto’s final eight runs in the ninth inning were scored off Colorado’s catcher Austin Nola, who struggled against the Blue Jays’ relentless hitting, allowing eight hits, including home runs by Schneider and Clement. Kevin Gausman delivered an impressive performance on the mound, allowing only one run and three hits over seven innings. Bichette’s three-run homer in the third inning set the tone for the Blue Jays’ offensive onslaught, with key contributions from Nathan Lukes and others in subsequent innings.

In total, the Blue Jays hit 13 home runs in the series, with Bichette and Daulton Varsho standing out with three homers each. Guerrero finished the series with eight hits, two homers, and four RBIs, while Bichette recorded seven hits and 10 RBIs, and Lukes contributed six hits and six RBIs.

The Blue Jays’ remarkable performance at Coors Field exemplified their offensive prowess and solidified their position as a formidable force in the league.
