Paul Speak, a long-time manager and close friend of Ricky Hatton, made a heartbreaking discovery at the boxer’s residence in Hyde, Greater Manchester. Speak found Hatton’s lifeless body after the latter failed to attend a boxing event on Saturday evening.

Steve Bunce, a boxing commentator, revealed that Speak was the one who found Hatton and emphasized the strong bond between them, spanning over 25 years. The Hatton family expressed their deep sorrow over the loss of their son Richard, acknowledging the profound impact he had on many lives.

Former boxer Stacey Copeland shared memories of Hatton on a BBC Five Live tribute program, highlighting his ambitious spirit. Hatton, a beloved figure in the boxing world, was preparing for a fight in Dubai before his untimely passing.

Greater Manchester Police confirmed Hatton’s passing at the age of 46, ruling out any foul play.
