The Canadian National Exhibition is back with a diverse array of unique food offerings, making it a hotspot for food enthusiasts. Among the culinary delights available this year are two-foot-long hotdogs, a cookie with a chicken nugget, and frozen deep-fried watermelon on a stick.
In addition to these, visitors can indulge in a variety of innovative food creations at the CNE, including deep-fried pizza on a stick, butter soda, maki sushi corndog, hash brown ice cream sandwich, street corn honey lemonade, and a range of funnel cakes in flavors like butter tart, ube chocolate, and matcha.
New food vendors have joined the 136 food spots at the exhibition, offering delights such as Chicago mix-inspired fried chicken, churro pizza, butter chicken birria tacos, biscoff fried chicken ice cream sandwich, and kimchi dumpling ice cream. The food extravaganza also features deep-fried maple cookies, poutine dumplings, and butter chicken waffles.
Beyond the culinary experience, the CNE offers a range of attractions including dinner in the sky, the first-ever CNE drag brunch hosted by Toronto drag queen Devine Darlin, and the 76th Canadian International Air Show. The midway area boasts 63 rides and games, including classics like the Polar Express, Scrambler, and a giant ferris wheel.
One of the highlights of this year’s CNE is the Mythos exhibit, an immersive anthology series showcasing stories from China, Nigeria, and the Haudenosaunee First Nation. Collaborating with artists deeply connected to these communities, the CNE promises a culturally enriching experience.
The Canadian National Exhibition will be held from August 15 to September 1 at Exhibition Place.
