Celebrity Big Brother viewers believe they have figured out one housemate’s game plan as they declared “the mask has slipped”. The final is looming for the ITV show as just six celebrities remain.
Despite one star winning over fans throughout the entire series, some viewers are turning on one housemate after the latest episode. Many believe they have been “cunning, calculated and fake” in the house, but have only just realised. Fans have hit out at comedian and actress Donna Preston after her chat in the Diary Room last night.
Some even went as far as to claim her “mask has slipped” as she spoke about evicted housemate Patsy Palmer. Patsy had held a retreat in the house before her brutal exit as part of a triple elimination on Tuesday night. Yet, Donna took time away to chat to Big Brother about her co-stars.
She felt she didn’t want to “bring up things, again and again, and again” in reference to her clash with Angellica Bell, who was also evicted.
Donna had nominated Angellica for being too loud in the morning, and the children’s TV presenter got her own back the next day as she woke up with housemates by banging pots and pans.
However, Angellica was left hurt as she confided in JoJo Siwa that Donna hadn’t spoken to her all day. Sharing her side, Donna said: “There’s absolutely no point in that,” when talking about people addressing their tiffs.
She added: “I feel like I’m being punished by Angellica,” and claimed the presenter had been “off” with her. “I said about clapping, it’s not like I’ve sh*t in her face.”
Big Brother told her: “Donna, do you not think it would have been a cathartic experience to tell Angellica what you’re telling Big Brother now?”
Yet Donna hit back: “It’s not that deep is it.” Viewers were surprised by the Diary Room chat as they aired their thoughts on the actress.
Taking to Reddit, one fan said: “I think I was right about Donna all along. I said ages ago that Donna was wearing a mask and sneaky… and here tonight her mask slipped.
“As BB said.. ‘why not say it to their face’ when she ran off to moan in the diary room. She had the chance to be real to their face and actually air her opinions to faces. But she was a coward. Donna is calculated. Strategic and playing the game being fake and not authentic at all.”
Another agreed as they added: “I thought this might happen with her, she was my favourite but I thought I’d save my votes until Friday when we’ve seen all the edits just in case I was wrong, I don’t think I’ll vote for her now!”
However, others came to Donna’s defence as someone commented: “I like her and fully agree that it’s just not that deep. She’s funny, enjoy it! It’s not like she’s plotting to take over the world, she’s just trying to enjoy her time on a game show.”
A fan wrote: “Ok the way I see her venting in the diary room; it was so she wasn’t talking behind anyone’s back. The diary room is a safe space to vent and what it’s there for, well that’s what I always thought it was for.”
