Celebrity Big Brother fans fume as ‘disrespectful’ Chris Hughes kisses JoJo Siwa

Must read

Celebrity Big Brother fans were left buzzing after unseen livestream footage captured a steamy moment between Chris Hughes and JoJo Siwa in the show’s secret hot tub hideaway.

While ITV viewers didn’t get a glimpse of the scene during regular broadcasts, eagle-eyed fans tuning into the 24/7 feed caught Chris, 32, and JoJo, 21, looking extra cosy as they soaked in the bubbles alongside a few housemates.

This flirty exchange comes on the heels of earlier footage showing the pair sharing another intimate moment. In the latest clip, Love Island star Chris gently wraps his arm around JoJo and presses two kisses to her forehead as she leans comfortably against him – a sweet gesture that quickly made its way onto social media – but not everyone is pleased.

Taking to X and Reddit to share their thoughts on the pair’s bond, viewers didn’t hold back. “I don’t care what anyone says anymore!!!! Chris and JoJo’s relationship and how they act with one another is so inappropriate. Imagine JoJo’s girlfriend watching this. She’s not going to be okay with this behaviour,” one fumed.

Another fan insisted: “Chris knows exactly what he’s doing and it’s just f***ing weird at this point.” Someone else echoed: “What I don’t understand is how the rest of the housemates are not deeply uncomfortable with that behaviour. Chris kissing JoJo on the forehead and her basically being on top of him in the hottub. I know that would really p**s me off.”

The chemistry between them has been a hot topic online, especially after fans spotted JoJo rubbing Chris’ leg during an earlier hot tub session, sparking even more speculation about their bond.

JoJo, who is currently dating non-binary actor Kath Ebbs, recently opened up about her evolving identity in a heartfelt conversation with Drag Race alum Danny Beard. Confiding in Danny, JoJo admitted: “I feel so queer. I’ve never – I think I’ve always told myself, I’m a lesbian. I think being here- I’ve realised I am not a lesbian, I’m queer.”

She added enthusiastically: “I think that’s really cool, I’m switching letters! I’ve dropped the L and I’ve gone to the Q baby! That’s what I love about sexuality.”

Danny, who uses they/them pronouns, joked warmly in response: “And you know what British people love more than anything? To queue!”

JoJo had previously come out as pansexual in 2021, but more recently described herself as gay in interviews. Speaking on Paul C Brunson’s podcast We Need To Talk before entering the Big Brother house, she reflected: “One I’m still on for sure. I never thought twice about anything.”

However, JoJo’s evolving labels – and her budding friendship with Chris – have left some viewers confused. Since the start of the series, the pair have been inseparable, often accused by housemates of isolating themselves from the group.

When Daley Thompson exited the show, he suggested their tight-knit bond might be a calculated move to snag more airtime. Fellow evicted housemate Ella Rae Wise went even further, accusing Chris of cozying up to the Dance Moms alum to tap into her massive social media influence, which boasts over 80 million followers.

Chris hit back emotionally, slamming the accusations as unfair. In a teary moment in the Diary Room, he shared his frustration: “I’m exhausted in this house to be honest. I think I’m too normal and lead a stress-free life. If people have things to say just say it and air it.”

He added: “I hate toxic stuff in life. I hate toxic energy. It just brings you down. You can feel when energy shifts and it’s just not nice. I don’t want to be emotional and sad but sometimes you just can’t help it.”
