Presenter Will Best has shared his thoughts on this year’s Celebrity Big Brother housemates following the launch of the new series just days ago. He’s revealed whether he would be up for living with them all and named his favourites.
It comes after the ITV show returned on Monday, with thirteen celebrities having entered the Big Brother house in the launch episode that night. Will, 40, was joined by co-host AJ Odudu, 37, to speak to each of the housemates beforehand.
The housemates include dancer JoJo Siwa, 21, drag artist Danny Beard, 32, and comedian Donna Preston, 38. Friday night saw politician Michael Fabricant, 74, become the first housemate evicted on the new series and it has since been announced that actor Mickey Rourke, 72, “agreed” to leave the house recently following “unacceptable behaviour”.
Presenter Angellica Bell, 49, Love Island finalist Chris Hughes, 32, singer Chesney Hawkes, 53, retired athlete Daley Thompson, 66, and TOWIE star Ella Rae Wise, 24, are also part of this year’s line-up. The remaining housemates also includes Coronation Street cast member Jack P. Shepherd, 37, EastEnders‘ Patsy Palmer, 52, and presenter Trisha Goddard, 67.
Ahead of tonight’s episode, host Will revealed his “top three” housemates from the new series in a video on his Instagram Story this afternoon. He was asked backstage: “Who would your top three Celebrity Big Brother housemates be?”
He named JoJo, Danny and Donna as his choices, with him predicting that fans will “see a lot more” from the latter in future episodes. Will concluded by teasing that he wouldn’t mind living with “almost all” of the housemates, though he didn’t name any exceptions to that.
Responding to the question he was asked, Will said in the video: “I would have to say JoJo Siwa.” Sharing his thoughts on the former Dance Moms star, he told fans: “[She] really surprised me. She’s so cool. She’s so wise. She’s lovely.”
Will continued by naming RuPaul’s Drag Race UK winner Danny as another of his favourites this year. He said in the footage shared with his followers this weekend: “I love Danny Beard. What you see is what you get. Realness. Fun. Great.”
Giving his final choice, Will shared: “And Donna Preston. I think we’re gonna see a lot more from [her] over this series.” Further sharing his thoughts, the Late & Live presenter added: “And I think she is absolutely bloody hilarious.”
After sharing his choices, he suggested that he would live with most of this year’s housemates. He said: “So those are my three. I’d live with … almost all of them though.” Teasing over his feelings, but not naming anyone in particular, Will added in the clip before taking a sip from his drink: “Almost.”
It’s unclear when the video was filmed but Will’s seen in his dressing room in the recently uploaded footage. The post, which didn’t have a caption, was shared on Will’s account just hours ahead of tonight’s episode of the ITV show.
The post comes shortly after it was announced yesterday that housemate Mickey had “agreed” to leave the Big Brother house. The news follows him receiving a “formal warning” earlier this week over “offensive and unacceptable” language, which prompted him to apologise to JoJo.
ITV announced last night that Mickey – whose behaviour in the house has attracted criticism – had since been spoken to again about “unacceptable” behaviour. A spokesperson for the show said: “[Mickey] has agreed to leave the Celebrity Big Brother House this evening following a discussion with Big Brother regarding further use of inappropriate language and instances of unacceptable behaviour.”
