The mother of Celebrity Big Brother star JoJo Siwa has hinted at the real reason for the star’s shock split from fiance Kath Ebbs. Despite declaring her love for her partner on a number of occasions inside the ITV house, the 21-year-old reality star called off her engagement at the reality show’s afterparty.
Kath, 28, has shared a number of cryptic posts and shared their dismay at the situation on social media, while JoJo had initially remained tight lipped. However, mum Jessalynn, has seemingly hinted at why the split came about – and it’s not to do with Chris Hughes.
Reddit users were quick to speculate after seeing a post from Jessalyn online. In a forum on the social media platform, one user said: “Did you see JoJo’s mum reposted this?? Implying the break up wasn’t related to Chris but about JoJo finding herself.”
The video showed a TikTok user saying: “Kath has removed the video of JoJo Siwa and I’ll tell you why. I don’t think JoJo has split up with Kath because of Chris… And that’s the kind of narrative that Kath is trying to put across.
“JoJo has broken up with Kath because JoJo doesn’t know who she is. She’s figuring out herself. She went into that relationship when she shouldn’t have, in my opinion.”
The upload was later reshared by JoJo’s mum, leading some to believe the user hit the nail on the head.
Speaking on This Morning on Monday, where she appeared alongside Chris, JoJo explained the break-up wasn’t planned. She told hosts Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard : “I’ll be honest – that wasn’t a plan. That wasn’t an intention.
“Initially I was told that they didn’t want to attend the wrap party and then an hour into the wrap party, they wanted to … They straight up asked me if I was happy and I said no. One thing led to another and that conversation did take place there.”
When Ben then questioned her over the significance of her bond with Chris, the Dance Moms star said: “Obviously we’re close.”
Former Love Island star Chris added “Our friendship is just a really strong bond between two people – it’s a soulmate friendship and to me it’s that energy where it’s not the standard friendship … It was beautiful. My favourite thing I got from the show.”
The hosts tried to push any romantic connection between the pair in the questioning, asking the American star if she could see romance blossoming in the future. She seemingly refused to shut down the possibility, saying: “He’s a great guy. It’s platonic, we have a lot of fun together – life is life.
“I don’t know any future of any thing. I’m really grateful for the bond we have and whatever life will do, life will do,” refusing to shut down a possible romance between them.”
