EastEnders spoilers: A secret murder exposed and Joel’s real plan for Avani

Must read

There’s some big moments on EastEnders next week, with a killer forced to face their actions once more.

One character looks set to confess a killer crime to someone, and soon the whole game could be up. They’re forced to take action and soon someone else is involved – but will the truth come out?

There’s also possible romance, sisters clashing and one character is given dating advice. There’s also one newcomer seemingly up to no good, as their mean behaviour is exposed.

One teenager is left upset by some comments, while another teen could be targeted. Soon another resident is seemingly set up, and it risks causing a divide between a group of friends.

Let’s kick things off with killer Nicola Mitchell’s dark secret being at risk. Her husband Teddy Mitchell appears to find out what really happened those years ago, as he demands to know the circumstances of Shireen’s shocking death.

Soon enough he thinks their son Harry, Shireen’s ex, deserves to know the truth but Nicola refuses. With it clear the pair are hiding something, Nicola is given food for thought.

As Nicola plots something Teddy orders her against it, and reveals he has something up his sleeve. Soon Teddy pauses work on the site where Shireen’s body is buried, after he and Junior Knight recently revealed plans to locate their new venture there.

He and Nicola plot to do a deal with Benji who knows all about the death and where the body is, and soon he’s wanting to be paid off. But Teddy’s handling of the situation leaves Nicola furious and uneasy, and a new development sparks consequences.

Things reach a head though when Nicola is seemingly attacked, as an intruder ambushes her at the barn and soon she faces a reckoning. Elsewhere, Joel Marshall seems to have secret intentions for fellow teen Avani Nandra-Hart next week as he isolates her form others.

Not only does he pick on one teen but he also sets up another, before trying to get Avani alone. It all kicks off when Joel and Avani continue to hang out, leaving Avani’s mother Priya concerned.

With Avani’s complaint against the police after their recent treatment of her not being taken forward, Priya fears how this will impact the teen. But when Amy Mitchell tells her friend about it, Avani berates her family for withholding the truth – while Priya heads back to the station to pass on another complaint.

Avani asks if her friends can come round, to which her parents agree and soon the boys are drinking. When some of the boys mock Tommy over his lack of experience with girls, Joel offers him some troubling advice which might not go down well.

Later on Avani meets with her dealer Declan, and Joel intercepts to pay for the weed she’s after. He’s keen to get together with her to share the weed, and gatecrashes, with Avani’s permission, her meet-up with Barney Mitchell.

Things go from bad to worse when Joel makes a derogatory comment about her behind her back when she is out of the room, and Barney calls him out over it – only for Joel to convince Avani that Barney is to blame for the situation, and she storms out.

Joel eventually gets Avani on her own and as they smoke weed together he makes a move, but how will she react and what will Joel do? Elsewhere in Walford next week, Harry Mitchell bags a date with Gina Knight, while Johnny Carter is keen for a relationship with Felix Baker.

Felix has other plans though, and when Johnny tries again later in the week his plans are gatecrashed. Meanwhile sisters Anna and Gina Knight are trying to make amends.
