A female prison officer was filmed on a mobile phone twerking after being asked to dance for an inmate in a shocking video shared on social media.
In the shocking footage the woman could be seen turning around and then performing in front of the man. The woman, who has not been named, is reported to have been an officer at the Category B HMP Forest Bank, in Salford, Greater Manchester, when the incident took place although she is no longer working there now. The inmate was heard during the clip saying: “Show me that batty…show me that batty rapid.”
She is said to have responded saying: “I ain’t got no batty,” and the woman first smiles while making an offensive gesture with her middle finger and then begins twerking. After that the prisoner, described as a ‘Manchester drill rapper’ said: “Turn around now, yes, yes.”
The Ministry of Justice reportedly said the incident took place in 2022 at a Sodexo run prison and has recently been shared online. A source told The Sun: “This is scandalous behaviour, and the stupidity is off the scale. The officer should not have been behaving like this and deserved to be sacked just for being so stupid.
“She is likely to have known she was being filmed, and behaving inappropriately, yet here she is obeying this young guy’s demands. There is a real problem with some female officers forming inappropriate relationships with inmates up and down the country. And this sort of behaviour gives hard-working and responsible staff a bad name.”
A HMP Forest Bank spokesperson told The Mirror: “The use of mobile phones in any prison is illegal, and we constantly review our activity to prevent the issue of the conveyance of illicit items within the prison. Where individuals are identified and found in possession of mobile phones, action is taken and reported to the relevant authorities.
“In addition, we take a zero -tolerance approach to inappropriate behaviour that undermines the complex work of prison officers to maintain public security. Anyone seeking to undermine public trust while holding a position of authority, will be robustly dealt with.”
The video comes after several scandals involving female prison guards and inmates. While at the same Forest Bank prison, a police officer was caught on camera kissing a criminal while still in her uniform. Choni Kenny had affairs with two criminals and exploited her role at Greater Manchester Police to leak information to them.
Liverpool Crown Court was told that the 27-year-old had a “casual sexual relationship” with prisoner Josh Whelan, 31. Whelan, who was incarcerated from 2021 to 2023, had 20 mobile phones while in prison – all supplied and financed by Kenny.
Kenny was seen on CCTV visiting Whelan at Forest Bank Prison, still dressed in her police uniform, reports the Manchester Evening News. A snapshot from the footage, released by GMP, showed the pair sharing a kiss in a waiting room at the Salford prison.
Following an investigation by the Independent Office of Police Conduct and GMP’s Anti-Corruption Unit, Kenny was dismissed from the force for misconduct.
In court, she pleaded guilty to four offences of misconduct in public office and one of conspiracy to commit misconduct with Mottley. On Wednesday, April 23, Kenny, from Tennyson Road, Cheadle, was handed a prison sentence of three years and nine months,
