Fans of Geordie Shore were left stunned by a former cast member’s surprise pregnancy announcement. Zahida Allen, 30, took to social media to share her huge reveal, labelling it a “blessing”.
The party girl starred on the hit reality series in seasons three and four, but her lifestyle is set for a huge change. Taking to Instagram, Zahida revealed “mini Z” is “coming very soon” and announced her due date is this month.
She shared her surprise pregnancy journey with her friends while saying: “The biggest thank you to my best friends @gemmarowex and @mikaylasmith_xo for being with me every step of the way throughout this incredible journey, and for being involved this shoot which makes these photos even more special. Love you both so much.”
In the images, Zahida shows off her large baby bump while dressed in light pink pyjamas and hair curls. She is holding a photo of her scan while pals are handing her a number of baby items, including a sweet pink baby grow.
In a touching statement she then went on to say she had kept her pregnancy under wraps as she “didn’t know how to put this into words”. However, she felt now was the right time after confessing she found out about her pregnancy very late.
The TV star admitted she didn’t have any clue she was pregnant and had been under investigation for other health issues with her stomach and kidneys. However, she said the news has “completely changed my life, but for the better”.
Sadly, Zahida explained how her exciting news also left her grieving her dad’s death all over again as it was his dream to be a grandad.
“I feel him and her are heavily connected through ways I can’t even explain,” she said, before saying her cravings had matched the food her dad wanted at the end of his life.
“My baby is the biggest blessing of my life,” she went on. “I have felt so lucky to be carrying her all this time, feeling her grow and feeling her little kicks become big ones.”
Zahida then reveal her life “isn’t ending” and insisted it is “just beginning again” as she shared her excitement for her new chapter. Before telling her unborn child she can’t wait to finally meet her, she gave an empowering message to others in her situation.
She said: “To all parents and those who are doing it alone, or are going to be doing it alone, you are so strong and I have SO MUCH respect and admiration for you. You should be incredibly proud of yourself.”
Among those sharing congratulatory messages in the comments section was her former Geordie Shore co-star Nikita Jasmine. The former Celebs Go Dating hopeful told her pal she is “over the moon for you” before asking for a catch up.
Former Celebrity Big Brother winner David Potts also wrote: “Congratulations beautiful.”
