Greggs has officially announced the comeback of its highly anticipated Festive Bake, much to the delight of fans eagerly awaiting its return. The bakery chain has revealed that its Christmas menu will make its debut in stores on Thursday, November 6. For those unfamiliar, the Festive Bake boasts a delectable combination of chicken, sage and onion stuffing, bacon, all enveloped in a luscious sage and cranberry sauce.
According to Greggs, the Festive Bake holds a special place in the hearts of many, marking the start of the festive season with its irresistible flavors. In a statement, Greggs likened the Festive Bake to traditional holiday staples like finding socks in your stocking or attending the annual office party – a quintessential part of the Christmas experience.
In addition to the Festive Bake, the Vegan Lattice (Festive Edition) will also make a comeback nationwide. This vegan option features savory Quorn mycoprotein pieces, sage and onion stuffing, vegan bacon, and is topped off with a cranberry and red onion sauce.
Among the other offerings on the festive menu is the Hot Christmas Lunch Baguette, providing a portable version of a classic Christmas dinner with chicken, sage and onion stuffing, bacon, melted cheddar, cranberry relish, and onion gravy. The Hot Festive Flatbread, featuring sage and onion chicken mayo, bacon, and cranberry relish, will also return to the lineup.
For those with a sweet tooth, Greggs will introduce a range of festive treats including the Christmas Cake Slice, Gingerbread Muffin, Chocolate & Hazelnut Doughnut, and Christmas Mini Caramel Shortbreads.
To complement the holiday treats, Greggs will offer a selection of festive hot drinks to keep customers warm during the colder months. Options include the Mint Mocha, Mint Hot Chocolate, Gingerbread Latte, and Salted Caramel Latte, with the latter two available iced as well.
Meanwhile, Greggs recently announced price increases on some menu items due to rising costs. The two-part breakfast deal, featuring a roll and drink, now costs £3.15, up from £2.95. The three-part breakfast deal, which includes a side dish, has risen to £4.15 from £3.95. Additionally, certain baked goods like the empire biscuit have seen a 5p increase, following a similar adjustment made to the price of the sausage roll earlier this year.
As Greggs prepares to launch its festive offerings, customers can look forward to indulging in a variety of seasonal delights both savory and sweet, along with a selection of warming beverages to enjoy during the holiday season.
