“House of Commons Question Period: What You Need to Know”

During regular sittings of the House, question period takes place as follows:

– Monday to Thursday from 2:15 to 3 p.m. ET, and on Fridays from 11:15 a.m. to 12 p.m. ET.
– The Leader of the Opposition initiates the questioning.
– Questions are directed through the Speaker, and typically, the Prime Minister responds to queries from the opposition leaders.
