“Johnson Slams Farage Over Russia Stance”

-

Boris Johnson launched a scathing criticism of Nigel Farage, labeling his stance on Russia as “extremely perilous.” The former Conservative Prime Minister expressed deep concerns about Reform UK’s economic policies and national security approach, even casting doubt on the party’s longevity till the next election.

Johnson emphasized the need for a robust defense strategy and denounced the notion that NATO instigated Putin’s actions in Ukraine as “highly risky.” He also ridiculed Reform UK’s surge in popularity, pointing out its minimal presence during his tenure due to the completion of Brexit.

The rift between Johnson and Farage escalated last summer when Farage accused the West of provoking the conflict in Ukraine during a BBC Panorama interview. Johnson rebuked Farage for not retracting the statement, dismissing it as Kremlin propaganda and historically inaccurate.

In a recent statement, Johnson praised Tory leader Kemi Badenoch’s vigor and originality while expressing confidence in her leadership, despite declining poll ratings. He also asserted his belief that he would have defeated Starmer in the previous general election.

Addressing concerns about Farage, Johnson highlighted the importance of economic stability and national security, stressing the necessity for reliable answers in the face of upcoming challenges. He outlined the contrasting approaches of Labour and Reform UK, advocating for resolute UK leadership and condemning moral ambiguity towards acts like the invasion of Ukraine.
