Netflix Love on the Spectrum stars David and Abbey issue huge update on marriage plans

Must read

Love on the Spectrum’s beloved couple Abbey Romeo and David Isaacman have been charming viewers with their love story since the start of the Netflix dating show.

For those who haven’t yet tuned in, the popular series follows individuals on the autism spectrum as they navigate the world of dating.

While the reality show primarily focuses on the contestants’ romantic journeys, it also provides insight into their family lives. Viewers are also given a glimpse into the contestants’ unique hobbies, which have included a keen interest in collecting American Girl dolls.

Having met during the first season, Abbey, 26, and David, 30, have remained a couple and are soon to mark their fourth anniversary. However, fans might be disheartened by the latest news about their relationship.

Following the third season, which premiered on April 2, the duo have openly expressed their deep affection for each other. Yet, they’ve also made it clear that they’re not in a hurry to walk down the aisle.

In a recent podcast interview with YouTuber Logan Paul, David clarified their plans for the future. The host queried if the couple were considering getting engaged anytime soon, reports Surrey Live.

“Well, we are still together but we are not ready for that [marriage] yet,” was David’s reply.

Abbey added her thoughts on their decision, stating that she already feels “like we’re married in our hearts.”

Currently, the pair are content with the status of their relationship.

Sky is giving away a free Netflix subscription with its new Sky Stream TV bundles, including the £15 Essential TV plan.

This lets members watch live and on-demand TV content without a satellite dish or aerial and includes hit shows like The Last of Us and Black Mirror.

Despite not being prepared to say ‘I do’ just yet, Abbey has previously shared her aspirations to tie the knot later this year.

In an interview with Rolling Stone in 2024, she revealed: “I’m scared, because I’ve never done it. But I could get married sometime next year. Probably in late 2025.

“I’m a little nervous-cited to get married, which is when you’re nervous and excited at once. I’ve always wanted to, and now I’m so close.”

The reality TV star continued to describe her dream wedding, stating: “Somewhere maybe near the beach in paradise. I’ll probably serve sweets there and all my favourite foods will be there, including lima beans.”

Love on the Spectrum is streaming now on Netflix.
