The win propelled the Rapid to second place in the league standings, edging past Montreal Roses by a single point, who did not play in this round.
Melissa Dagenais, the goalkeeper for Ottawa, made eight crucial saves during the match. Meanwhile, Vancouver’s Morgan McAslan made two saves in goal, with the team maintaining their fourth position in the standings, holding a 12-point lead over the Calgary Wild for the final playoff spot.
Ottawa took the lead in the 37th minute with Downing scoring her first goal of the season. Pridham extended the lead in the 76th minute with her 18th goal of the season, followed by Wilkinson adding another goal seven minutes later.
