Patsy Palmer left Celebrity Big Brother fans feeling awkward after she fell silent during an interview. The EastEnders star was on spin-off show Late and Live last night, where she was interviewed about her time in the house.
Patsy was quizzed about her experience in the house before being part of the history making triple eviction earlier this week. She joined a live studio audience to discuss her time in the famous abode.
When a guest on Late and Live asked: “You obviously missed your family in there. Did you ever at one point think, I could leg it over that fence?” Patsy then replied: “Erm, no I didn’t want to walk.”
As the guest then laughed, Patsy remained with a deadpan face. She then added: “We’re all there to do a job and I wanted it to be good for them. In the beginning it was really tough for me to be in there. We’d been through a lot, personally, before I went in.
“As certain energies left the house we all relaxed and we all got through stuff together. It takes me a while to be fully relaxed with people I don’t know, I started to enjoy myself when I knew them more. Then I thought I didn’t want to go.”
Patsy could, of course, be referring to the LA wildfires which affected her Malibu home she shares with husband Richard and their children. Whilst she splits her time between LA and the UK to film EastEnders, she admitted she felt “helpless”.
She wrote in an emotional post: “I have just woken up after having the first night sleep I have had in quite a few nights obviously because of the fires in California where I live. I am here in London working feeling pretty helpless and all I can really do from here is share the resources of everyone is working tirelessly to help and give whatever people need.
“All I can say is, I hope it doesn’t sound like something unattainable for people at the moment, but honestly meditation. If you can find a few seconds to breath as deeply as possible. Understand that what is gone is gone, the future is just a dream its not real. What we all have no matter what circumstances we are going through, all we have right now is this time, right now, this present moment.”
It comes after Patsy’s exit interview with Celebrity Big Brother hosts Will Best and AJ Odudu had fans left lost for words. She was asked about the infamous fall out between her and axed housemate Mickey Rourke over the broccoli, which left her in tears.
“There were a few tricky moments you had to deal with in there. People complaining about your broccoli, that was one,” host Will had said but Patsy didn’t reply. He then added: “You don’t want to talk about the broccoli do you… Absolutely fair enough.”
