Prince Harry, known worldwide, visited a Polish food van last week, where the staff did not recognize him. The Duke of Sussex stopped by for fast food while passing through a Polish village near the Ukraine border on September 11. Despite his global fame, neither the staff nor the customers at the food van knew who he was.
According to reports, no one at the van asked Harry for photos or autographs. The owners of the food van told a Polish newspaper that Harry was their most famous customer whom they didn’t realize they had served. It was only when they saw the news in the newspapers that the employees realized the Duke had visited their establishment. One staff member mentioned that their friend was surprised, as Harry had only ordered fries. They expressed a willingness to treat him to a burger or casserole if he were to return.
While Harry maintained a low profile on his journey to Ukraine, he made headlines upon his arrival. In an interview with The Guardian, he defended his memoir “Spare,” stating that he believes he clarified existing narratives rather than airing his private matters publicly.
The Duke also highlighted his commitment to truth, citing his wife Meghan’s advice to always stick to honesty. He emphasized the importance of truthfulness, stating that lying is a waste of time and effort. These remarks followed a recent meeting with his father, King Charles, marking their first encounter since February 2024.
Despite their concurrent engagements, there was no reported meeting between Harry and his brother William, with sources indicating that William had little interest in reuniting with his estranged sibling.
