Putin Advisor Urges Nuclear Preparedness in Europe

-

A close advisor of Vladimir Putin has warned him that neglecting the option of nuclear weapons in Europe would be a grave mistake, labeling it a “terrible sin.” Known as Professor Doomsday, Sergei Karaganov, the honorary chairman of the Russian Council for Foreign and Defence Policy, emphasized that the deployment of tactical atomic weapons is crucial to preventing a larger conflict between the US and Russia.

The call for nuclear readiness is gaining momentum among Putin’s supporters. Vladimir Solovyov, a prominent TV propagandist who also advocates for nuclear strikes, provocatively suggested on his TV show the bombing of prestigious British universities, such as Oxford and Cambridge, as a means to weaken the British elite.

These statements coincide with Donald Trump’s taunts towards Russia, accusing them of being weak in their conflict with Ukraine. Karaganov underscored the moral dilemma of using nuclear weapons, describing it as a sin, but argued that avoiding such actions could lead to a more catastrophic outcome, labeling it an even greater sin.

Karaganov portrayed Russia as under threat from Europe, urging Putin to confront this perceived danger. He stressed the necessity of breaking the will of European leaders, implying that this was a strategic goal of the ongoing conflict in Ukraine.

In a controversial assertion, Karaganov suggested that a nuclear conflict in Europe could avert a more devastating war between Russia and the US. He argued that Europe needed to be subdued for the emergence of what he termed as “normal, healthy forces.”

The discussion extended to the readiness to engage in nuclear actions, with a focus on influencing European attitudes. Solovyov, using state-funded TV, criticized the British elite, questioning their actual control and proposing drastic measures, including targeting prestigious British universities like Oxford and Cambridge.

The exchange highlighted a growing narrative of nuclear preparedness and aggressive rhetoric within Russian circles, signaling a concerning shift in strategic outlook.
