Extraordinary video footage seems to capture Queen Camilla politely asking Princess Kate to shift positions during the formal welcome of Donald and Melania Trump at Windsor Castle.
The slightly awkward moment occurred as Kate, 43, was engaged in conversation with First Lady Melania just after their arrival via helicopter, escorted by tight security.
Kate and Prince William were the first to greet the Trumps upon their arrival at the Windsor Estate. The two couples engaged in friendly chatter as they proceeded to meet King Charles and Camilla outside Victoria House.
During the interaction, Charles and President Trump engaged in discussion, while Camilla and Melania also conversed. Princess Kate amiably conversed with Melania, 55, as Queen Camilla gestured for her to move after a brief period.
Kate graciously bid farewell to Melania before rejoining her husband William. Camilla and Melania exchanged a few words as they prepared to head to Windsor Castle for lunch.
At the state banquet later that evening, Kate looked stunning in a Philippa Lepley gold lace evening coat, showcasing her support for British craftsmanship. She also adorned the Royal Family Order of King Charles, Royal Family Order of Elizabeth II, Grand Cross of the Royal Victorian Order, and GCVO Star and Sash.
Prince William looked sharp in a white tie and Windsor tail coat, adorned with the Most Noble Order of the Garter Sash with the Lesser George and his distinguished medals.
Ahead of the grand dinner, the royal couple shared a photo on their social media platforms, captioned “Ready for The State Banquet.”
