In Kyiv and its surrounding region, five people lost their lives, including a six-month-old baby and a 12-year-old girl. NATO responded by dispatching two F-16 warplanes from Romania and two German Eurofighter Typhoon fighter aircraft to bolster air defense in the face of escalating tensions near the River Danube border.

Energy facilities in multiple Ukrainian regions were targeted, causing power outages and disruptions in heating services. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky called for international support to counter Russian aggression and emphasized the urgent need for long-range military capabilities to defend against further attacks.
