Sinclair Broadcasting announced on Friday that it will no longer preempt Jimmy Kimmel Live! and will resume airing the show in the evening on its close to 40 ABC-affiliated stations. Sinclair was one of the two primary broadcast owners that had initially chosen not to bring back the show this week following Disney’s week-long suspension lift.
The decision not to air the program had drawn criticism from certain lawmakers, but Sinclair has now reversed its stance and the show will be back on its network.
