Heart-wrenching accounts have surfaced regarding the tragic death of a skilled trapeze artist in front of a sizable audience during a live circus show.
Marina B, a 27-year-old seasoned circus performer, was executing a daring solo stunt when a tragic accident occurred. The incident took place in Bautzen, Germany, during the evening show on Saturday, around 5:45 pm, where Marina fell from a trapeze swing approximately five meters above the ground.
Regrettably, Marina, who was of Spanish descent, succumbed to her injuries after the fall. Approximately 80-100 spectators, including children and families, were present at the Paul Busch Circus performance when the unfortunate event unfolded.
Witnesses reported hearing screams during the family-oriented show, with parents shielding their children’s eyes inside the tent. Emergency responders promptly arrived at the scene, and an investigation into the incident has been initiated.
Following the tragedy, a notice on the circus’s ticket booth informed visitors of the closure due to bereavement. As of now, Paul Busch Circus has not issued any statements regarding the incident.
Marina B, originally from Mallorca, had a global presence with the circus and took immense pride in her career. Her final Instagram post depicted her in mid-air, with a caption that read: “Up here, I work best.”
In a previous statement, Marina expressed her passion for performing and believed in the transformative power of art to create unforgettable moments.
Authorities confirmed that Marina had not utilized a safety rope before the accident, emphasizing that it was not a legal requirement for her to do so.
