The newly launched FAST channels, Stingray Classica (Ch296) and Stingray DJAZZ (Ch297), offer a variety of musical content including world premieres, concerts, films, and artist interviews. With programming available around the clock, there is always something to watch.
Stingray Classica (Ch296) focuses on classical music, opera, and ballet, catering to both aficionados and newcomers to the genre. The channel showcases 50 world premieres annually, recorded at prestigious concert halls, festivals, and opera houses. Viewers can also enjoy high-quality documentaries, exclusive classical music programs, and weekly premieres.
For jazz enthusiasts, Stingray DJAZZ (Ch297) provides access to jazz concerts, films, portraits, and documentaries from diverse venues and festivals. The channel features artist profiles, interviews, and behind-the-scenes reports.
These new music channels complement Virgin’s existing lineup of 32 FAST channels, such as British Screen Classics, U&Transport, Inside Crime, and Haunt TV. Accessible through Virgin’s set-top boxes via the Electronic Programme Guide (EPG), these channels are part of the company’s expanding FAST channel offerings.
