A new Star Wars mini-season is on its way and is set to deliver a heap of new cosmetics, items and POIs to the island, bringing back a whole host of characters in the meantime, and it’s all set to culminate with something that Epic Games seems to consider a pretty big deal.
It’s a very exciting time to be a fan of both Fortnite and Star Wars, as the new season seeks to upend the experience we’ve had so far – but when exactly can we expect the next live event in the game? Will it come to introduce the new season, or will it save its spoils for its grand finale? Here’s what you need to know about the next Fortnite live event.
The next Fortnite live event is expected to take place just before the end of Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 3, on Saturday, June 7. This has been revealed by the official Fortnite Twitter account revealing that a “live end of season narrative event” will cap off Chapter 6 Season 3, which comes after a Chapter 6 Season 2 without a live event. The game’s appearance on the Star Wars blog revealed that the event, titled “Death Star Sabotage,” will come on this date after a number of other game changes throughout the season.
Plus, we estimated the Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 3 length, which revealed an expected Season end date of Sunday, June 8, matching up nicely with the end-of-season live event structure. Thus, the next Fortnite live event will arrive at the end of the Galactic Battle season.
